OK, for the record. ... Let it be known that every time I balance my checkbook I get a different answer. Let it be further known that CD is just as unlcuky as I am. And whereas we can spend like misers, and agree almost 100% on our priorities - neither of us can track our money even if we were given a bloodhound.

We are solvent and saving because of - Monica. She is our bookkeeper. She runs a company of bonded and wonderful bookkeepers. And they, amazingly, work with families as well as businesses.

She tracks our money. We take the allowance she assigns and don't worry about another thing. We talk with her once a week about what's been paid and the balances and what we're going to need. And then once a month we pay her a very, very reasonable fee.

And we never fight about money.

And everything is paid.

So, again. For the record.

I am a dumbass when it comes to budgeting. I am, however, a lucky and blessed son-of-a-bear when it comes to asking for help.

Thus endeth the confession.
